Intention:
My intention with this album was to record as quickly as possible and capture some ideas in a very short time frame. The first three tunes were recorded over two days in September 2004 and all the others were recorded over one week in December 2004. I'd been wanting to record another soundscapes album since Realms of Elements in 2001 and the recent aquisition of the Eventide Eclipse fx processor meant I had a whole bunch of new sounds to play with. I had a long weekend available, so I went for it...
Realisation:
...And in retrospect it seemed to turn out pretty well....The mixture of improvised soundscapes and more arranged material works well and helps to provide contrast, without disrupting the flow and the mood of the album too much. A pretty successful weekend's work, I think...
